Trabzonspor Near Agreement With Wolves For Arokodare

Tolu Arokodare is on the verge of completing a loan move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor from Wolverhampton Wanderers, reports Completesports.com.

According to Turkish outlet Takagazete, Trabzonspor and Wolves are in the final stages of negotiations, with the Premier League club insisting that the Black Sea Storm cover the striker’s full annual salary of €3.7 million as part of the agreement.

Trabzonspor have stepped up their pursuit of a new centre-forward following Felipe Augusto’s transfer to Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg.

The club are also facing uncertainty over the future of fellow Nigeria international Paul Onuachu, who has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Pro League giants Al Ahli after finishing as the Turkish Super Lig’s joint-top scorer last season.

Arokodare is expected to arrive in Turkey on Monday to complete the formalities of the transfer, provided the remaining details are finalised.

The 25-year-old joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk last summer, and made 33 league appearances for the Old Gold, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
