Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan produced another impressive performance, finishing second in the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2026 Eugene Diamond League after clocking a season’s best 12.34 seconds.
Olympic champion Masai Russell continued her sensational unbeaten outdoor campaign, storming to victory in 12.24 seconds to equal the Prefontaine Classic meet record originally set by Kendra Harrison in 2016.

Despite a slightly slower start, Amusan powered through the latter stages of the race to comfortably secure second place, underlining her growing form ahead of the major championships later this season.
Bahamian hurdler Devynne Charlton completed the podium in 12.41 seconds, narrowly edging American Grace Stark, who posted the same time but finished fourth.
World champion Danielle Williams and fellow Jamaican Ackera Nugent shared fifth and sixth places respectively after both recorded 12.51 seconds.
The race further cemented Russell’s dominance this season, extending her unbeaten outdoor streak to six consecutive individual victories.
Her winning time also matched Harrison’s long-standing meet record and reinforced her status as one of the favourites to challenge the world record.
For Amusan, the runner-up finish represents another encouraging outing as the Nigerian world record holder continues to build momentum following her recent Diamond League victory in Rabat.
