Chairman of the Ogun State Football Association and Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, has congratulated seasoned sports journalist and media strategist, Bayo Adegboyega, on his appointment as Consultant on Media to the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade.
Majekodunmi described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Adegboyega’s professionalism, dedication, and immense contributions to sports journalism and media development in Nigeria over the years.

He commended the Director General of the NSC, Hon. Bukola Olopade, for identifying and appointing competent professionals who possess the knowledge and capacity to drive the Commission’s vision of repositioning Nigerian sports through effective communication.

His appointment is a testament to the fact that diligence, consistency, and professionalism will always attract opportunities,” Majekodunmi said.
The Ogun FA Chairman expressed confidence that Adegboyega’s wealth of experience in sports journalism, public relations, and strategic communications would add significant value to the National Sports Commission’s media architecture and enhance the visibility of the Commission’s programmes and the achievements of Nigerian athletes.
According to Majekodunmi, effective communication remains a critical pillar in sports administration, as it helps bridge the gap between stakeholders, athletes, fans, and administrators while projecting the positive image of Nigerian sports to the global community.
He also lauded Hon. Bukola Olopade’s leadership at the National Sports Commission, noting that the appointment reflects his determination to assemble a team of experienced professionals capable of delivering on the Commission’s mandate.
