Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season fixtures are now starting to fill up the summer schedule for Roberto De Zerbi and his players
Tottenham players will be back at Hotspur Way in under a fortnight’s time and then the club’s pre-season schedule kicks into gear.
Roberto De Zerbi is already plotting and planning for the coming Premier League campaign and the Italian now has six Spurs fixtures in the diary before the season begins competitively on August 22 with the trip to Brentford. That start date was pushed back because of the World Cup currently taking place across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
That means a later pre-season start to the normal early July return with first team players beginning to file back into the club’s Enfield training complex in stages from Friday July 10 for medical and physical testing and gym work. They will then move on to full work on the training pitches with the coaching staff from Monday July 13.
Some Spurs players will have different staggered return times depending on their international involvements, with some having played in friendlies well into this month and others doing their duty at the World Cup.
Tottenham’s first summer friendly currently in the diary will see them host League One side MK Dons at Hotspur Way on Wednesday July 22.
Very quickly after that early test against the Dons, Spurs will fly off across to other side of the world to New Zealand to take on Auckland FC on Sunday, July 26 at Eden Park. The following day, De Zerbi’s men will move over to Australia to start their preparations for a fixture against A-League side Sydney FC on Wednesday, July 29 at the Allianz Stadium.

Then to close out their tour on the other side of the world Tottenham will meet some familiar Premier League opposition as part of the 2026 Sydney Super Cup. It will be the first Spurs derby against Chelsea played outside the UK and it will come to pass on Saturday, August 1 at the 83,500-capacity Accor Stadium.
Tottenham have now also confirmed that after that they will host Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim twice on the weekend before their new Premier League season kicks off under Roberto De Zerbi.
First they will play in front of their fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Hoffenheim on Saturday August 15, with the kick-off set for 3pm. Spurs will then also play Christian Ilzer’s team again the following day on Sunday 16 August in a behind-closed-doors game at their Hotspur Way training complex to ensure another Tottenham starting XI of players gets a strong run-out to improve their fitness and sharpness for De Zerbi.
Hoffenheim finished fifth in last season’s Bundesliga table and Spurs have confirmed that the tickets for the friendly match in N17 will cost £20 for adults and £5 for children.
There is room in between those friendlies and the Chelsea game for another match or two so keep an eye out for extra fixtures in the weeks ahead.
