Dutch club FC Utrecht have announced the signing of Emmanuel Chigozie Owen on a permanent transfer, Completesports.com reports.
Owen, who joined FC Utrecht from Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen penned a four-year contract.
Several clubs showed interest in the striker, but he ultimately opted for FC Utrecht’s project and long-term plans.

Owen is eager to make his mark at the highest level of the game.
“The first time I came here, it immediately felt like a warm bad,” he told the club’s official website.
“I think I’m strong on the ball and I can physically do my part well. I am someone who is creative and loves to create opportunities, assists and goals.
“My goal is to adapt as quickly as possible here in the Netherlands. I want to play as much as possible. Whether that is at Jong FC Utrecht or the first team, it doesn’t really matter to me at the moment. I want to develop myself.”
