The second semi-final between Sunshine Queens and Nasarawa Amazons was filled with drama and controversy. Nasarawa Amazons took the lead in the 18th minute through in-form forward Ayatsea Hembafan, but the goal sparked protests from Sunshine Queens.
The controversy centered on whether the ball had fully crossed the goal line before being cleared by the Sunshine Queens goalkeeper. Assistant Referee Two ruled that the ball had crossed the line, prompting the referee to award the goal.
