Nasarawa Amazons head coach Chris Danjuma is optimistic his side will secure a place in the final of the women’s President Federation Cup, Completesports.com reports.
The Lafia club will face Sunshine Queens in the semi-final of this year’s edition of the competition at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Wednesday (today).
Danjuma’s side defeated current Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, champions Edo Queens 5-3 on penalities in the quarter-final.
Danjuma Targets Final Spot
The former Falconets gaffer believed his side have what it takes to to secure a place in the final.

Danjuma also encouraged his players to approach the game with seriousness, discipline, and the winning mentality that has brought them this far in the competition.
“We have worked hard to reach this stage, and now we must give everything on the pitch. Sunshine Queens are a strong side, but we believe in our quality and our ability to achieve our objective,” Danjuma told the club’s media.
“The players must remain focused and fight for every ball.”
FC Robo Queens, and Heartland Queens will clash in the other semi-final.
The final will hold at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Saturday, 11 June.
