Bayelsa Queens head coach Ogbonda Whyte has revealed the club has already begun planning for next season, with several members of the current squad expected to secure moves abroad.

Despite falling short in the race for the NWFL title, Whyte said preparations for the new campaign are already underway as the club looks to remain competitive.
“We’ve already started planning for next season,” Whyte said.
The Bayelsa Queens boss disclosed that the expected departure of key players has forced the club to move quickly in the transfer market.
According to him, the technical crew is already identifying suitable replacements to ensure the team does not lose its competitive edge.
“We know some of our players will leave for opportunities abroad, so we have to prepare early,” he added.
Whyte explained that recruitment has become a priority as the club seeks to maintain stability ahead of the new season.
The coach stressed that Bayelsa Queens are focused on bringing in quality players capable of filling the gaps left by outgoing stars.
“We’re working to get quality replacements into the team,” he stated.
Several NWFL players have attracted interest from clubs outside Nigeria in recent seasons, with Bayelsa Queens among the clubs regularly producing talent for the international market.
Whyte believes early planning will help the club remain competitive as it targets a stronger campaign in the new season.
