Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga has been linked with a summer move to Arsenal after the Foxes’ relegation to League One
Arsenal have reportedly submitted a bid to sign Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga. The Gunners are showing an interest in the Foxes teenager, who has featured in both the Premier League and Championship.
And football London understands a deal between £10million to £15m is what has been discussed and talks are ongoing. Colleagues at LeicestershireLive also understand that there has been a consideration of whether a season in League One is better for the 16-year-old’s development rather than another year in academy football.
It comes after reports from journalist Fabrizio Romano that the Gunners have sent an official bid with a deal said to be moving quickly. Monga made his Leicester debut in the Premier League in the 2024/25 season as a 15-year-old. He made seven league appearances between April and the end of the season.
Leicester managed to see off interest from clubs last summer – despite their relegation to the Championship. Monga signed an academy scholarship when he turned 16.
That deal is due to turn professional this summer, on his 17th birthday (July 10). While a fee with Leicester could be agreed, there is also the possibility of a tribunal to decide if the Gunners have paid a fair price for the youngster.
Monga made 30 appearances in all competitions during the 2025/26 campaign. He became the Championship’s youngest ever goalscorer when netting against Preston North End in August.
Arsenal want to improve their roster of young talent. Max Dowman and Myles Lewis-Skelly have been big successes from the academy, but also in the side that won the Premier League, is William Saliba, who joined at 18 years of age.
The Gunners have already agreed deals to sign Victor Ozhianvuna who will join the north London club in the January window of next season. While Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero will join in August of 2027 as further efforts to bring in the brightest talent remains a priority.
