Former Niger Tornadoes of Minna star, Abu Ali is excited, after taking up the role of sporting director at More Grace FC of Benin City, where he has been saddled with the task of grassroots development, youth scouting and international transfers.
Sports247 gathered that Ali has already stepped gamely into his new challenge, as he sets about the next chapter in his football life, with a view towards identifying and nurturing young talents to bridge the gap between domestic and international levels.
The founder of Arlee Sportif promotions outfit added that he is already thinking wide about various avenues of making a huge impact with the two-year partnership that was officially sealed on Monday.
The initiative, which brings Ali into formal collaboration with Prophet PIA Obaseki, founder and owner of More Grace FC, who is also the senior pastor of Divine Grace of Glory Church, is also targeted at achieving long-term sporting objectives for the team.
Ali, who also played for Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Abia Warriors of Umuahia, is equally making the best of his transition into football administration and management, while also building a reputation in player development, talent identification and scouting.
“Together, we are building opportunities, developing talent and creating a brighter future for the next generation of footballers,” said Ali, who emphasised the shared commitment he has with Obaseki in creating opportunities for young footballers.
Sports247 gathered further that, through Arlee Sportif, Ali has established strong relationships with clubs, scouts and key stakeholders across Nigeria, Africa, Asia and Europe, while also helping promising players secure scouting pathways abroad.
