President of the Nigeria Squash Federation, Wilson Egberipou, has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s chances at the upcoming World Junior Squash Championship, revealing that the final phase of preparations is set to begin later this month.

With the global competition fast approaching, Egberipou said the federation is leaving nothing to chance as it seeks a strong performance in Ontario.
“We are entering the final phase of camping at the end of June,” Egberipou said.
According to the federation president, preparations have been carefully structured to ensure the athletes arrive at the championship in the best possible condition.
“We want our players fully prepared for the challenge ahead,” he implied.
Egberipou praised the federation’s technical department for the work already done with the athletes in the build-up to the tournament.
“The coaches have been doing an excellent job with the players,” he noted.
The squash administrator stressed that the federation remains fully committed to giving the team every opportunity to succeed on the international stage.
“Our goal is to ensure Nigeria has a great outing at the championship,” he added.
The World Junior Squash Championship is scheduled to take place in Ontario from July 20 to July 31, with some of the world’s most promising young players expected to compete.
“Nigeria is determined to make a strong impression at the tournament,” many squash observers believe.
The championship will provide another opportunity for Nigerian athletes to showcase their talent against elite international opposition.
