Edo Queens head coach Moses Aduku has rallied his players ahead of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, final day fixture against Bayelsa Queens,Completesports.com reports.
The Benin City club sit at the top of the table with nine points from four matches and will go into the game looking to maintain their lead.
The 2024 champions got their campaign off to a disappointing start with a loss but have recovered strongly to win each of their next three games.
Bayelsa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons have seven points each , and are also in contention to win the title.
Nasarawa Amazons will be up against Rivers Angels in the final fixture.
Aduku tasked his players to keep their on the ground ahead of the clash with the Prosperity Girls.
“I want to give kudos to my girls for playing to instruction and also for believing in ourselves that we could bounce back after that opening defeat,” Aduku said.
“We are not celebrating yet. Our focus completely shifts to Bayelsa Queens — that’s all I can say for now. We know we have one final hurdle to clear against a very tough opponent who happen to be the defending champions,” Aduku warned.
