Exclusive: Arsenal not giving up on Barcola

FootballTransfers can reveal that Arsenal are refusing to abandon their long-standing pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola.

We are told that sporting director Andrea Berta first explored a deal last summer, only to be informed by PSG that the France international was not for sale. However, Berta has remained in contact with Barcola’s entourage since.

Arsenal are still showing a strong interest in the winger, and they will have been emboldened by reports coming out of France that suggest that PSG could listen to suitable offers this summer due to the player’s refusal to sign a contract extension.

Yildiz a dream target

Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz is Arsenal’s “dream target” this summer, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

Mikel Arteta is said to be a huge admirer of the Turkey international. It follows earlier reports that revealed Arsenal had an enquiry for Yildiz rebuffed by Juventus, who consider the versatile forward untouchable this summer.

It is claimed that Arsenal would be prepared to pay €100 million for Yildiz, but it seems unlikely that this is enough to soften Juventus’ stance unless the Turin side have a change of heart.

Arsenal accelerate on Bouaddi

Tavolieri also reports that Arsenal are “intensifying” their pursuit of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.

The 18-year-old is being chased by the Gunners and PSG. His personal preference would be to remain in France, but Arsenal’s strong interest has impressed the Morocco international. They have been in touch since January 2025 and have promised him a key role in the team.

Moreover, Lille are reluctant to sell to a direct rival and would therefore prefer Bouaddi to leave Ligue 1. Despite this, they are not willing to offer Arsenal any discounts. They want around €70m for the wonderkid.

Tzolis deal explored

Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, The Athletic reports.

The Greek forward has enjoyed two spectacular seasons in Belgium and is believed to be attainable for around €40m this summer. A deal for Tzolis would not impact Arsenal’s ongoing pursuit of Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers.

This is also backed up by Fabrizio Romano. “Arsenal are considering a move for Tzolis,” he declared. “Contacts have already started on both the player side and the club side.

“There are conversations underway and the player would be very excited about the possibility of joining Arsenal. They have scouted him extensively. They like the player and they see him as a market opportunity.

“These are completely separate stories. Tzolis is viewed as an opportunity, Rogers remains one of Arsenal’s top targets for the summer. Of course he is expensive and of course it is difficult. But Arsenal love the player and he remains a name discussed internally.”

Real Madrid not only keen on Calafiori

In addition to Riccardo Calafiori, Real Madrid are also interested in Arsenal teammate Piero Hincapie, El Debate claims.

Los Blancos are determined to sign a left-sided, versatile centre-back this summer. Mourinho is an admirer of Calafiori, with whom he worked at AS Roma. It is believed that the Italy international was sold by the club against his will.

Another option being considered now is Hincapie, who supposedly grew up supporting Real Madrid. In fact, it is claimed that both the Ecuador international and Calafiori would be keen on a move to Real Madrid. Both are in contact with the club via their representatives.
