Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has reportedly indicated his wish to depart the club this summer, providing considerable encouragement to Arsenal. Barcola has been instrumental in PSG’s back-to-back Champions League triumphs, though uncertainty has surrounded his situation heading into the summer window.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with a move for Barcola as they gear up for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
The France international featured 49 times for PSG last term, finding the net 13 times in all competitions, with two strikes coming in the Champions League.
According to eSPORTY, Barcola has asked to leave PSG this summer, placing Arsenal and Liverpool on high alert.
PSG are believed to value Barcola at approximately £60million, with earlier reports this week suggesting the Ligue 1 giants would be willing to sanction the 23-year-old’s departure from the Parc des Princes.
The versatile forward has a contract running until summer 2028, meaning both player and club may face a crucial decision about his future in the coming months.
Liverpool and Arsenal have both been cited as potential suitors for Barcola, though no club appears to hold the upper hand at present.
PSG manager Luis Enrique stated last year that his preference was for Barcola to stay at the club.
He said: “Bradley Barcola’s future? I have no doubt he’ll remain our player.

“We like the fact that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he’s one of those young players we’ve been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years.”
Arsenal are believed to be seeking fresh attacking options this summer, with Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers both reportedly on the Gunners’ shortlist.
For Liverpool, Barcola is not the only wide forward to have attracted the Anfield club’s attention ahead of the summer transfer window, with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande also regularly touted as a potential addition to their ranks.
The Merseyside outfit will also need to assemble a squad for incoming manager Andoni Iraola, who stepped into the Anfield hot seat following Arne Slot’s departure earlier this month.
