Sporting Lisbon of Portugal winger, Francisco António Machado Mota de Castro Trincão has fired up the ante ahead of his country’s international friendly against Nigeria, with a verdict that the hosts need to take advantage of the game.

Sports247 reports that the former Sporting Braga of Portugal, FC Barcelona of Spain and Wolverhampton Wanderers of England forward, who is known simply as Francisco Trincão, described the game as a useful build-up to the World Cup.
He acknowledged that the Super Eagles will pose some difficulties for Portugal with their physicality and array of well-exposed players, but reckoned that it is a test that should help his team gain useful lessons ahead of the upcoming Mundial.
Trincão added that Wednesday’s game will help Portugal get an idea about how to play against Democratic Republic of Congo in their opening game of the World Cup, where the squad will aim to get their best outing ever in the global showpiece.
He concluded by stressing that Portugal’s primary objective from Wednesday’s game is to gain enough learning curves and a morale boosting result that would add to their momentum heading into the upcoming global contest.
“We need to take advantage of the game. They’re a similar team to Congo. We have to focus on what we have been training. Look at what we can do and take some nuances from what they have in common. They are two similar teams.
“They are both physical. It will be difficult. We’ll try to focus on ourselves rather than Nigeria. We’ll try to do our best. We’ll play the way we’ve trained. We’ll try to play a good game and arrive at the World Cup with confidence,” Trincão submitted.
