Sports247 reports that The Seagulls’ gaffer is awed by the impact created at AIK by the 18-year-old Yohanna, whose £21.3m transfer to Brighton, which was eventually confirmed on Saturday, is a record sale for the Swedish top-flight league.

Much to the delight of Hurzeler, Brighton completed the signing of Yohanna from AIK despite rival offers from Chelsea and Newcastle United, as the Nigerian lad fancies his chances of getting regular first team action with the south coast club.

Yohanna sealed and signed a five-year contract that is expected to run until June 2031 at Brighton, who opened talks with AIK last weekend before Newcastle and Chelsea proposed offers of around £21m each for the youngster.

The vastly talented and highly promising lad’s deal will be completed when the transfer window reopens, but Hurzeler is already beaming with delight over what he believes will be a huge impression on the club’s fans from Yohanna’s acumen.

Hurzeler said: ‘I’m looking forward to working with Zadok. Having seen his games and his attributes, he is a player who can impact games in the final third. and is due to fly over for a medical. He’s still young and will need time to adapt to the club.

“He’s an exciting player to watch and he brings the kind of creativity we know our fans will enjoy. He’s dynamic, has pace and likes to take players on. His attributes and ability will be a real addition to our attacking options.”
