Trump said he was 'not happy' with Israel’s Beirut attack, which triggered Iranian missile fire

US President Donald Trump says Iran’s missile attacks on northern Israel will damage negotiations with Tehran, while voicing frustration over Israel’s earlier strikes on Beirut.

The Israeli attacks on Hezbollah targets in the Lebanese capital prompted Iran’s missile fire, pushing talks that Trump said were close to an agreement into fresh uncertainty.

“It’s certainly not going to help negotiations,” Trump told Fox News, adding, “We’re very close. I would say an agreement would be signed on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of this coming week. And now this takes place.”

Trump also said he was “not happy about it”, referring to Israel’s strikes on Beirut.
