Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held separate calls with his counterparts in Britain and Turkey, as well as Pakistani mediators, after Israel’s latest escalation in Lebanon.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the talks focused on the “latest developments” in the region and Tehran’s response to Israel’s “repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon”.
The diplomatic push came after Iran fired ballistic missiles towards northern Israel in response to Israel’s strikes in Beirut.
