Argentina star Julian Alvarez has been the subject of transfer speculation with Arsenal and Barcelona interested in the Atletico Madrid forward this summer
Arsenal are the only ‘realistic’ option to complete a deal for Julian Alvarez, but is is reported the Atletico Madrid star has no interest in making a move to the Emirates Stadium.. Alvarez only has eyes for Barcelona if he is to leave the Spanish capital, it is claimed.
The Argentina international is not considering a move to London, and the most likely scenario is that he remains with Atletico next season, according to reports in Spain. Alvarez is not expected to attempt to force a move to Camp Nou and Atleti would prefer not to deal with the Catalan club after recent events.
The report claims that key intermediaries describe any deal for Alvarez to move to Barcelona as very complicated. Any transfer is at a ‘standstill’.

Atletico, meanwhile, are planning their future and assembling their squad, expecting Alvarez to remain with the club next season.
The Madrid club made their fury with Barcelona clear last month, publicly hitting out at their rivals over the stories surrounding Alvarez.
Nevertheless, Barcelona appear to retain some confidence in their ability to land Alvarez. The Blaugrana anticipated Atletico’s reluctance and planned to offer some days of respite to monitor how the situation develops.
The La Liga champions have no intention of exploring alternatives unless an unexpected turn in the chase for Alvarez arises. They have rejected a move for Victor Osimhen, who has also been linked to Atletico.
Arsenal are also interested in AFC Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi this summer. The 19-year-old impressed during his debut season in the Premier League.
The Cherries are reluctant to sell but the Gunners have received a boost in learning they will not face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
