Arsenal are reportedly closing in on their first summer signing
Arsenal are set to move swiftly and decisively in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta and manager Mikel Arteta have already identified the areas of the squad that need improvement once the window opens on June 15.

And, according to reports, he could provide the Gunners with funds potentially surpassing last summer’s club-record £250million expenditure in an effort to maintain their success.

Morgan Rogers’ transfer stance
Morgan Rogers is reportedly open to leaving Aston Villa this summer as he continues to be linked with an Arsenal move. The Gunners are interested in the England World Cup star as they look to strengthen their offensive capabilities.
Rogers, 23, has emerged as Villa’s standout performer in recent seasons, meaning they are unlikely to want to part ways with the midfielder, particularly with Champions League football secured for another campaign.
But, in a significant boost to Arsenal’s chances of securing the former Manchester City player, The Athletic reports Rogers believes it is the right time for a fresh challenge. That said, he isn’t actively pushing for a departure at present, and Villa could demand as much as £100m for their star man, meaning any deal won’t be straightforward.
Arsenal close in on teenager
Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign teenager Jeremy Monga from Leicester City. Monga, 16, made his Premier League debut aged just 15 during his breakthrough 2024/25 campaign, becoming the second-youngest player to feature in the competition after Ethan Nwaneri at that point.
The youngster made 30 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes this season, accumulating over 1,000 minutes of senior action. Monga has also put pen to paper on his first professional deal, which becomes active when he turns 17 in July. But it is expected he will move on this summer, following Leicester’s relegation to League One.
Arsenal are among a number of clubs tracking the exciting winger, and as per the Evening Standard, it’s being suggested they’ve won the battle. They have reportedly opened talks as they look to land his signature, though he could cost them between £10m and £15m.
