Speaking on the preparations for the continental tournament, Olopade revealed that the commission remains fully committed to the welfare and readiness of the Nigeria women’s national football team.
“We are fully committed to supporting the Super Falcons,” Olopade said.
According to the NSC boss, efforts are ongoing to ensure the team gets enough high-quality friendly matches before the tournament begins.
“We want the players to have proper preparation games,” he implied.
Olopade also confirmed that he remains in regular communication with Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade regarding the team’s preparations and welfare.
“I’m constantly in touch with the captain,” he noted.
The sports administrator praised the Nigeria Football Federation for working hard to secure enough friendly matches for the team.
“The federation is doing everything possible to prepare the team properly,” he added.
Nigeria is expected to begin its preparation programme with double-header friendly matches against Senegal ahead of WAFCON.
“The Senegal games will be very important for the team,” many football observers believe.
The Super Falcons continue carrying major expectations as Africa’s most successful women’s national team.
“Nigeria will always enter WAFCON as one of the favourites,” supporters continue to say.
For Bukola Olopade, the message is clear.
The Super Falcons will not lack support.
Proper preparation remains a priority.
And Nigeria is serious about competing strongly at WAFCON.
Because success at major tournaments starts with planning, preparation, and strong institutional backing.
