The Nigerian team featured some of the sport’s most accomplished players, including reigning African Champion Temileyin Doko, current National Champion Ezinore George and the country’s highest-rated scrabble player, Jimoh Abdulmumuni.

The DG also congratulated the athletes, officials of Nigeria Scrabble Federation and all stakeholders, whose dedication continues to sustain the country’s dominance in the sport, then commended the players for their fighting spirit and professionalism.
“This performance once again confirms Nigeria’s status as the world’s leading scrabble nation. Our players have shown tremendous character, resilience, and excellence in one of the toughest scrabble competitions anywhere in the world.
“We are proud of their achievements and remain committed to supporting them as they continue to fly the nation’s flag high on the international stage,” said Olopade, while also expressing hope for more outstanding results from the team in future.
