FC Robo Queens booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 President Federation Cup after edging Remo Stars Ladies 5-3 in a breathtaking Round of 16 encounter that delivered eight goals, dramatic twists, and moments of individual brilliance.

The match burst into life from the opening minutes as Remo Stars Ladies took an early lead and looked set to tighten their grip on the contest when they were awarded a penalty shortly afterwards.
However, Robo Queens goalkeeper Mercy Olodu produced a crucial save from the spot to keep her side within touching distance and spark a remarkable comeback.
Robo Queens gradually grew into the game and found their equaliser in the 36th minute through Esther Onyenezide, who calmly restored parity for the Lagos-based side.
The momentum swung further in their favour when they earned a penalty of their own, but the opportunity to take the lead was missed.
Undeterred, Robo Queens continued to push forward and were rewarded just before halftime when Adegbuyi found the back of the net to complete the turnaround and hand her side a 2-1 advantage heading into the break.
The second half maintained the same intensity. Remo Stars Ladies responded quickly after the restart, drawing level to make it 2-2 and setting the stage for a thrilling contest.
But Robo Queens once again showed their attacking quality as Opeyemi Ajakaye restored their lead before netting her second goal of the afternoon to stretch the advantage to 4-2.
Onyenezide then produced the moment of the match, curling a magnificent free-kick from 30 yards into the net to grab her brace and put Robo Queens firmly in control at 5-2.
Although Remo Stars Ladies pulled one back late on, the comeback proved beyond them as Robo Queens held on to secure a memorable 5-3 victory and a place in the last eight.
