Super Eagles’ coach, Eric Sekou Chelle is staying upbeat ahead of his side’s forthcoming international friendlies away to Poland and Portugal, as he believes the squad will come out of both games with something positive.

Sports247 reports that the Franco-Malian tactician, who is still basking in the euphoria of his side’s fourth straight conquest of the Unity Cup in London, believes they can maintain the momentum versus Poland on Wednesday.
Although Chelle admitted the Eagles will feel the absences of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze, who have all been excused from both games for personal reasons, the gaffer stressed that he expects to get good results.
He also acknowledged that a couple of in-form lads from the 2026 Unity Cup outing will also not be available for the upcoming games, due to visa issues, but pointed at the presence of other formidable lads who will make a difference during both games.
Chelle stated, “Now we have two games coming, against Poland and Portugal. I have a lot of problems because some players don’t have a visa – like Samson Tijani and Al Hassan Yusuf – and I cannot fight against the embassy.
“We will travel with (the available) players. We will then see what happens after Poland and Portugal. We have to adapt to everything. We will definitely go with our strengths and weaknesses (but) we will come back with something positive.”
Sports247 reports that the Super Eagles will face Poland in the East European nation’s capital city, Warsaw this Wednesday, June 3rd, then fly out to Portugal to face Cristiano Ronaldo’s side seven days later in the city of Leiria.
