Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Abiodun Baruwa has praised head coach Eric Chelle for bringing balance and attacking confidence back into the national team setup following Nigeria’s Unity Cup success.

Reacting after the Super Eagles retained the Unity Cup title, Baruwa admitted he has been impressed by the team’s structure and attacking improvement under the current coach.
“Eric Chelle has brought balance into the team,” Baruwa said.
According to the former Nigerian goalkeeper, the Super Eagles now appear more organized and confident whenever they move forward in attack.
“The team is creating more chances and playing with purpose,” he implied.
Baruwa also praised Nigeria’s growing goalscoring ability during the tournament and expressed optimism that the trend would continue in future matches.
“The goalscoring form is encouraging,” he noted.
The former Super Eagles shot-stopper stressed that maintaining high attacking intensity could become a major strength for the team moving forward.
“Nigeria must continue creating and taking chances consistently,” he added.
