Tchouameni to replace Casemiro?

Man Utd are convinced that Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni could become their next Casemiro, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils hold a strong interest in the France international, with previous reports indicating that Tchouameni could cost at least €80 million if a move were to materialise. Despite being a dream target for Man Utd, Romano believes that a deal is difficult to do.

“For Real Madrid, he’s a very important player,” the transfer insider said. “So at the moment, the doors of Real Madrid are still closed for Aurelien Tchouameni. He’s on a big salary, so it’s a really, really difficult deal, really complicated.”

Anderson deserves the “best club in the world”

Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira addressed the speculation surrounding Elliot Anderson after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.

The England midfielder is regarded as a key target for Man Utd, but recent reports have claimed that a transfer to Man City is much more likely, with some going so far as to suggest that there is already an agreement in place over a move to the Etihad.

Pereira insists that he does not know what the future holds for Anderson, but it is clear to him that he deserves to play for “the best club in the world” should he leave. “I don’t have the answer,” Pereira insisted. “If you ask me if he deserves the best clubs in the world, he deserves.

“He has a lot of quality, he is a talent. But he is our player and I am very happy with him. The market is the market, I cannot predict the market. I know we want to keep the same players, to bring two or three players to help us balance the squad. In the end, we’ll see.”

Hall a priority target

Man Utd have made Newcastle full-back Lewis Hall a priority target for the summer, CaughtOffside claims.

It is stated that Hall could be keen on a fresh challenge after the Magpies’ disappointing season, even though recent reports suggested that the boyhood Newcastle fan is happy to stay and could soon hold talks over an improved contract.

Hall is currently under contract until 2029, so Newcastle are under no pressure to sell. In fact, they would only entertain a potential departure if a “major offer” were to arrive for the England left-back.

New Rashford talks

Barcelona are set to hold fresh talks with Man Utd over Marcus Rashford this week, Ben Jacobs reports.

The LaLiga champions remain keen to renegotiate their €30m purchase option in Rashford’s deal, despite Man Utd repeatedly informing them that they have no intention of changing the agreement. Barcelona have also tried to discuss a second loan for the 28-year-old.

Despite the impasse, outlets in Spain state that Rashford is “optimistic” about remaining at Barcelona, after being left “pleased and reassured” by Hansi Flick, who made it clear to him that he and the club are determined to keep him in Catalunya.
