The Nigeria national football team are through to the final of the 2026 Unity Cup after a dominant 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe national football team in London.
The night belonged to debutant Femi Azeez, who delivered a dream first appearance for Nigeria by scoring both goals to send the Super Eagles into the final in style.

Playing at The Valley, Nigeria wasted no time taking control of the encounter as Azeez struck inside the opening five minutes with a brilliant finish to hand the Super Eagles an early lead.

After a dominant Nigerian display in the first half, Azeez struck again in the 63rd minute to complete his brace and seal victory for Eric Chelle’s side.
Nigeria largely controlled proceedings from start to finish, frustrating Zimbabwe’s attempts to respond while creating several dangerous attacking moments of their own.
The performance also highlighted the growing depth within the Super Eagles squad, especially with several emerging players given opportunities during the Unity Cup competition.
Head coach Eric Chelle introduced fresh legs late in the game as Nigeria comfortably protected their advantage to book a place in the final.
