Celtic have rekindled their interest in Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, while they are also eager to land Go Ahead Eagles star Jakob Breum.
Hogh, 25 was heavily linked with a Celtic Park switch in January, but Bodo/Glimt had no intention of losing their star forward in the middle of their Champions League campaign.
Hogh netted five Champions League goals in 12 games in 2025-26, including strikes against Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, as the Norwegian side reached the last-16 before being knocked out by Sporting CP, despite winning the first-leg by a comfortable 3-0 margin.
The Denmark international, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just over €10 million, has been on Celtic’s radar for months and the Scottish giants are keen to finally bring him to Glasgow this summer as they look to bolster their forward ranks after securing a fifth consecutive league title last weekend.
Hogh has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in just 13 domestic games since the Norwegian season kicked off in March, and The Herald report that Celtic have “resurrected” their interest in the 25-year-old ahead of this summer.
The Hoops are also keen to revisit a deal for Breum, who scored six goals and provided five assists in 28 Eredivisie games this season. Go Ahead Eagles are reportedly willing to accept a sale when the summer window opens, with a fee of just under €5m likely to be required to secure his signature.
Celtic plan next manager talks
Before submitting an official offer for Hogh or Breum, however, Celtic will first need to appoint a new permanent manager, with talks scheduled to take place this week, as per The Herald.
Interim boss Martin O’Neill is in contention to be given the job on a permanent basis following his heroics during the 2025-26 campaign, but other candidates are being eyed up, including Robbie Keane, who left Ferencvaros last week.
He is the heavy favourite to be appointed as the next Chelsea manager, although Roberto Martinez, Craig Bellamy and Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen are also among the contenders, according to the bookies.
