An Israeli strike on Friday killed a Palestinian near the so-called yellow line, northwest of Rafah City in the Gaza Strip, Wafa news agency reported.
Medical sources at the Nasser Hospital said that the body of Rafat Adel Ibrahim Breika, a 42-year-old shepherd, arrived at the hospital after being targeted by an Israeli drone strike in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled eastern Khan Younis and northern Rafah, as intense bombardment targeted eastern and southern Khan Younis.
Israel has killed 72,775 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 172,750 others since 7 October 2023. Thousands more are missing and presumed dead under the rubble.
Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on 11 October 2025, Israel has killed 883 Palestinians and injured 2,648 others. The bodies of 776 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.
