Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported on Tuesday that three phosphorus shells landed near farmers harvesting watermelons in the Mansouri junction area of the Tyre district in southern Lebanon.
The farmers fled the area immediately and no injuries were reported, according to the agency.
Israeli aircraft also carried out strikes on the towns of Hanawieh and Maarka in the Tyre district, while rescue workers recovered the body of a civilian from the rubble of a home in Qana that was hit during Monday’s attacks.
In the Nabatieh district, Israeli forces reportedly set up a checkpoint near the Marjayoun-Halta junction, detained three civilians and confiscated several mobile phones.
Israeli warplanes also struck the town of Dabin, while a drone strike on the Kfar Dajjal-Nabatieh road wounded one person.
