Arsenal have won the Premier League for the first time since 2003/04, when they famously went the entire campaign unbeaten.
The Arsenal squad will be handsomely rewarded for winning the Premier League. The Gunners have won the English top-flight for the first time in over 20 years, and Josh Kroenke has ensured the players will be rewarded for their efforts.
According to The Times, there is a bonus scheme in place for winning the English top-flight that pays each member of the Arsenal squad nearly £6,000 per appearance. The report claims that players are also likely to earn money via a share of a bonus pool worth millions, accrued throughout the campaign, based on progression in cup competitions.
This will be distributed among all players based on appearances at the end of the season. As it stands, it remains unclear how much exactly the Gunners have in the kitty to share, but some in the squad could earn almost a quarter of a million pounds in bonuses for their efforts in the Premier League.
David Raya and Martin Zubimendi look set to be the biggest earners; they could bank £228,000 in appearance bonuses if they’re involved in some capacity on Sunday afternoon, when Arsenal face Crystal Palace on the final day of the season. They have each played in every Premier League fixture this term, maximising their take-home pay.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba have each featured 31 times so far, meaning they could each get their hands on about £192,000 if they take part this weekend. Meanwhile, Kepa Arrizabalaga hasn’t played at all in the Premier League this term.
So, unless the former Chelsea goalkeeper faces the Eagles this weekend, he’ll receive no appearance bonus as a result of Arsenal winning the English top-flight. If he does feature, however, Kepa will be awarded £6,000, the least of any senior player in Arteta’s squad.
According to The Times, the Arsenal players will also be given bonuses for winning the Champions League. Later this month, the Gunners will lock horns with Paris Saint-Germain at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, and Kroenke could be billed millions.
The report claims that the tournament prize money, accrued from qualifying and progressing to the latter stages, will go towards paying the ‘many millions of pounds in bonuses’ to the squad. It’s said that each Arsenal player will earn about £125,000 if they play in the final and win.
The Times reckons some of the Gunners squad have already banked about £25,000 for each leg of the semi-final against Atletico Madrid. It adds that those who started at least 60 per cent of Premier League matches last season will also have earned between £750,000 and £1million just for qualifying for Europe’s elite competition.
Speaking to reporters following Monday night’s win over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta commented on the title race. The Spaniard said: “We’ve done what is in our hands.
“Since the Man City away game, we said it is five games. We’ve done four, there is one to go, or something beautiful that happens tomorrow night.”
He added: “It’s incredible to witness what we have created in this stadium. Obviously, I have memories from the past, and the comparison is unbelievable to watch. I’m so proud of that.
“Today, they have created something so special outside the stadium, in the stadium. Now we have set the standards that we are responsible for maintaining because we can provide that, and we know the outcome.”
