The next stage of the highly-productive Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) of Nigeria Schools Sports Federation (NSSF) will hold in Bayelsa State capital, Yenagoa from May 18th to 20th, Sports247 reports.

NSSF officials said the second phase of the training programme, which is done in collaboration with Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) promises to be more exciting and rewarding than the first round that took place on May 11th in Kano.
The national capacity-building seminar, which is organized under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity, has been touted as a high-impact educative programme designed to empower school sports officers and teachers using OVEP toolkits.
Event coordinator, Mrs Kemi Obidahunsi, an assistant secretary from NOC in the NSSF, added that it is a specialised scheme from International Olympic Committee (IOC) to integrate excellence, friendship and respect into the classroom and field.
IOC-certified expert, Professor Abiodun Moronfolu led resource persons for the programme, which featured no fewer than 100 teachers and sports officers in the first of a three-part series designed to transform the landscape of school sports.
Another official, Mrs Olabisi Joseph, while asserting that schools are important in grassroots sports development and the gateway to elite careers, said the seminar will hold in Yenagoa from May 18th to 20th, then wrap up in Lagos from June 2nd to 4th.
