Chelsea equaled an unwanted record in FA Cup final following their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City inside Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
A superb flick by Ghana international Antoine Semenyo sealed the win against the Blues for City, as they claimed a second domestic Cup this season.
City went into the tie on the back of losing the last two FA Cup finals to Manchester United 2024) and Crystal Palace (2025).
As for Chelsea, according to OptaJoe, the Blues became the first side to lose four consecutive FA Cup final appearances since Leicester between 1949 and 1969.

Also, Reece James became just the second player to play in four FA Cup finals and lose them all, along with Paul Bracewell.
The last time Chelsea won the FA Cup was in 2018, when they edged out Manchester United 1-0 thanks to an Eden Hazard first half penalty.
City have now equaled Chelsea’s FA Cup title feat as they secured their eight.
