Alex Iwobi Ruled Out Of Fulham’s Clash With Arsenal Due To Hamstring Injury

Fulham of Englsbd midfielder, Alex Iwobi has been ruled out of action against Arsenal this weekend in the Engkisg Premier League due to a hamstring injury.

Sports247 reports that Iwobi would have loved to tango the club whose under-21 team he captained in his youth days at Emirates Stadium, but that desire will not materialise.

Beyond Saturday’s London derby, speculation has shot up high that Iwobi might not play any other game this season, thereby also casting him doubt for the Super Eagles’ defence of the Unity Cup later this month.

Information about Iwobi’s injury was provided by Fulham’s coach, Marco Silva, who confirmed that the former Arsenal and Everton dazzler will miss Saturday’s potentially explosive tie.

A report by Tribal Football added, “The Whites are set to face Gunners at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, but the Nigeria international will not be available, after suffering a hamstring injury in The Cottagers’ goalless draw with Brentford two weeks ago.

“Silva stated that the versatile midfielder is still not fit enough to feature against Mikel Arteta’s side.”

Silva stated, “Alex is out still. We have some doubts on some players, but we will assess them to see how they react from things that happened in the week.”
