An update has been given on Riccardo Calafiori’s potential availability for Arsenal for the crucial Premier League match vs Arsenal.
Arsenal have received a potential injury boost with Riccardo Calafiori spotted in training ahead of the Premier League clash against Burnley. The full-back was replaced at half time of the Gunners’ win over West Ham on Sunday.
He was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera and after the game, Mikel Arteta confirmed that he ‘felt something’. The Arsenal boss has since said that he doesn’t know if the defender will be available for Monday night’s match .
“No, we don’t know whether he’s going to be available now,” he said, “We still have days ahead. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious, but we’ll have to wait and see how he reacts.”

In a positive sign, Calafiori was spotted taking part in open training on Thursday, ahead of the match. It suggests that the injury isn’t too bad and raises hope of his availability against Burnley.
In a slight worry, Sky Sports reports that there were no signs of William Saliba, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka in training. However, it is added that the trio were doing individual training.

When pushed on a potential return of full-back Jurrien Timber, he added: “He has progressed a little bit in the last few days. We will try to get him back.
“He is a really important player for us and he’s doing everything he can to help the squad in any way possible.”
Arsenal know that a win against the Clarets will take them one step further towards the Premier League title. The Gunners are currently two points ahead of Man City at the top of the table with two games each remaining.
