All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Julian Alvarez, Jakub Kiwior and Ben White.
PSG open Alvarez talks
PSG have entered into negotiations with Atletico Madrid over star striker Julian Alvarez, El Chiringuito claims.
The Argentina international is believed to be keen to leave the Spanish giants after two trophyless seasons, which has attracted the attention of numerous European powerhouses. PSG previously tried to sign Alvarez when he left Man City in 2024.
In addition to the reigning European champions, Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea have also been strongly linked with a move for Alvarez. PSG, it is asserted, could be willing to match Atleti’s hefty €150 million asking price.
Arsenal confirm Kiwior exit
Arsenal have officially confirmed that FC Porto have completed the permanent signing of Jakub Kiwior.
The Polish defender joined the Portuguese giants on a season-long loan last summer and was a crucial part in Francesco Farioli’s side as they won their 31st league title. Porto already announced Kiwior’s signing last week.
Arsenal, bizarrely, have now also confirmed his move with a short paragraph in their regular loan round-up. The Gunners will receive €17m upfront, €5m in potential bonuses and a fixed fee of €2m from his next move.
Romano on Arteta’s new deal
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Arsenal’s contract negotiations with manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners have been planning to extend the Spaniard’s deal for some time, and talks are expected to ramp up following the conclusion of this season. “Arsenal want Arteta to sign a new contract with the club,” Romano said.
“Initial conversations already began earlier in 2026, but the focus will be on completing the agreement after the end of the season so Arteta can remain focused on competing for titles. The intention is to offer Arteta an improved contract with an increased salary.”
White suffers injury blow
Arsenal defender Ben White has suffered suspected medial collateral ligament damage, as per David Ornstein and Joshua Hall.
The England defender will miss the remainder of the season, including the Champions League final, and he is also unlikely to be fit in time for the World Cup, though the full extent of his injury has yet to be established.
Should it prove to be a more serious issue, it may also jeopardise the summer transfer window. Recent reports have increasingly suggested that White could leave Arsenal this summer after slipping below Jurrien Timber in the pecking order.
