Ramon price revealed
Como could demand as much as €50 million to sell Jacobo Ramon this summer, Sports Boom claims.
The centre-back was signed from Real Madrid last year, and Los Blancos hold an €8m buy-back option. However, it is believed that they are only planning to exercise that clause next season. If Como sell him, the LaLiga giants will be entitled to 50% of the fee.
That’s why the Serie A side have slapped a hefty price tag on the Spaniard. Arsenal and Chelsea are closely monitoring Ramon, though whether they are willing to pay €50m for him after just one season of top-level football is doubtful.
Alonso’s Liverpool “dilemma”
Chelsea target Xabi Alonso faces a major “dilemma” this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The former Real Madrid manager is one of the leading contenders to replace Liam Rosenior at Chelsea, and there have already been initial talks. Alonso is keen on a Premier League job and is potentially open to taking charge at Chelsea.
However, his “dream” job is his former club Liverpool, who currently still seem to back Arne Slot to turn things around. Consequently, he is faced with the choice of taking the Chelsea gig and jeopardising his Liverpool dream or waiting for a Slot sacking that may not come.
Bologna worried over Rowe interest
Bologna are growing increasingly “terrified” that Jonathan Rowe will be poached this summer, Gazzetta dello Sport writes.
The English winger is attracting widespread attention courtesy of some really exciting displays, with Aston Villa and Chelsea believed to be among the clubs showing an interest in him.
With no European football to look forward to next season, Bologna fear that Rowe will look to fulfil his dream of joining a Premier League club this summer. A €38m bid from Chelsea has been mooted.
Colwill to save Fofana’s Chelsea career?
Levi Colwill could save Wesley Fofana’s Chelsea career after returning from his ACL injury.
The pair struck up a brilliant partnership last season, but injuries from both – first Fofana, then Colwill – meant that they are only now able to play together again. Without Colwill, Fofana wasn’t the same player, raising questions over his Chelsea future.
However, at the weekend, Fofana arguably put in his best performance of the season, and it is no surprise that it came alongside Colwill, who made his first start of the season. The England star may singlehandedly keep Fofana at Stamford Bridge.
