Bayern make Gordon offer

Bayern have presented Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon with a five-year contract offer, as per Sky Germany.

The Bavarians remain the England star’s strongest suitors, but Arsenal and Chelsea have also explored a deal. Gordon is open to heading to the Bundesliga, but everything will depend on Newcastle.

The Magpies have resigned themselves to losing Gordon, but they will not offer any discounts. It has been claimed that they could demand north of €90 million, which is well in excess of what Bayern are prepared to pay for a Luis Diaz backup/challenger.

Barca want Kroupi

Barcelona have joined the race to sign Bournemouth attacker Eli Kroupi, the Daily Mail reports.

The Blaugrana are looking for attacking reinforcements and have taken a liking to the young Frenchman, who is also being courted by Arsenal and Man Utd. Kroupi could be on the move, but Bournemouth would prefer not to sell after just one season.

The teenager does not have a release clause, so the Cherries can freely decide his price. If they agree to let him go, they will not do so cheaply, which is likely to prove problematic for Barcelona, who remain unable to spend big.

Godts confusion

Ajax wonderkid Mika Godts is the subject of interest from various clubs, including Arsenal.

Earlier this week, transfer insider Matteo Moretto claimed that Barcelona were not in the race to sign the Belgium international this summer, contrary to reports elsewhere. This was a big boost to the Gunners, who are closely following the winger.

However, Sky Germany now states that Barcelona are actually interested in Godts, only that the interest is not as advanced as it had been claimed. He is genuinely an option for them this summer, but they would ideally prefer to sign a more experienced player.

New Arsenal target?

Arsenal are monitoring Flamengo midfielder Evertton Araujo, according to Radar da Bola, which is described as a “niche” but “quite reliable” outlet by Sport Witness.

Flamengo want to hand the 23-year-old a new contract to strengthen their position in negotiations with suitors. It seems inevitable that Evertton will be heading to Europe eventually, as interest from the Premier League and Bundesliga is growing.

An unnamed side from Germany is said to be willing to pay up to €20m for the midfielder. Arsenal’s interest, meanwhile, is described as being only exploratory and not advanced at this stage.

Kiwior sold

Porto have announced that Jakub Kiwior’s loan from Arsenal has become permanent.

The Portuguese giants have exercised their €17m purchase option after winning the league for the 31st time at the weekend. Arsenal can get a further €5m in performance-related bonuses.

Curiously, there is also a sell-on clause, but it is a fixed sum of €2m instead of the usual percentage of the final transfer fee or of the profit made by the selling club.
