Ademola Lookman struggled to make impact as Atletico Madrid lost 1-0 to Arsenal in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Arsenal won the tie 2-1 on aggregate, to reach the final for the first time in 20 years.
Lookman, who was named in the starting line-up was marked out of the game.
The Nigeria international was replaced by Nahuel Molina three minutes before the hour mark.
It was the 28-year-old’s eighth appearance in the competition for the Red and Whites.
Bukayo Saka scored the winning goal for Arsenal one minute before the break.
Saka slotted home after Leandro Trossard’s shot had been parried.
The Gunners will face either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30 as they bid to lift the trophy for the first time.
They will be aiming to lift the trophy for the first time in their history having been beaten by Barcelona in their only previous final appearance in 2006.
