Iran has put forward a 14-point proposal to the United States aimed at ending the war, according to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
The move follows a reported nine-point plan from Washington, with both sides outlining competing approaches to a possible settlement.
Tasnim said the US proposal called for a ceasefire with a two-month timeline, while Tehran is pushing for a faster resolution. Iranian officials want key issues settled within 30 days and insist the priority should be “ending the war” rather than prolonging a temporary truce.
The Iranian plan includes security guarantees, a withdrawal of US forces from areas near Iran, and the lifting of the naval blockade. It also calls for the release of frozen Iranian assets, the removal of sanctions, and an end to the conflict “on all fronts”, including in Lebanon, according to the report.
Tehran is now waiting for a response from Washington as diplomatic efforts continue.
