The market shifts again: Arsenal now slight favourites with Sky Bet to win the Premier League following Saturday's victory

Arsenal have re-emerged as marginal favourites to win the Premier League title, according to Sky Bet, following their hard-fought 1–0 victory over Newcastle at the Emirates.

At the time of writing, Mikel Arteta’s side are priced at 5/6 to secure their first league crown in over 20 years.

The Gunners now sit top of the table on 73 points, holding a three-point advantage over Manchester City.

However, City still have a crucial game in hand, set to take place against Crystal Palace at the Etihad on May 22.

For those expecting City’s experience in title run-ins to prove decisive, Pep Guardiola’s side remain close behind in the betting at 17/20.

Arsenal’s run-in sees them face Fulham (H), West Ham (A), Burnley (H) and Crystal Palace (A) – four fixtures in which they are highly likely to start as strong favourites.

However, their domestic push is complicated by a demanding Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid, with both legs falling during this decisive stretch.

It sets up a testing final month for the Gunners, though such challenges are often the hallmark of title-winning campaigns.

Manchester City, meanwhile, still have five league matches to play, factoring in their game in hand.

Their remaining fixtures – which are Everton (A), Brentford (H), Bournemouth (A), Crystal Palace (H) and Aston Villa (H) – offer plenty of opportunity, underlining just how finely poised the title race remains.

They too face a significant distraction amid their league run-in, with an FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on May 16 adding to the intensity of an already demanding schedule.

Sky Bet odds to win the Premier League:
