Ole Miss football transfer Carius Curne has been arrested in Arkansas on allegations of drug possession, fleeing police, reckless driving and other charges.
The offensive lineman, 20, was arrested by Arkansas State Police on Saturday evening and released in less than two hours from Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, according to jail records reviewed by The Daily Mail.
Arkansas State Police have not responded to The Daily Mail’s request for further information.
Specifically, Curne is charged with possession of a schedule six substance of less than four ounces. Typically, in Arkansas, ‘schedule six substance’ refers to marijuana.
A conviction for a schedule six substance can result in a penalty of up to one year in prison, a $2,500 fine and/or a mandatory six-month license suspension.
He is also facing counts of speeding, improper lane change and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Ole Miss athletic department spokespeople for comment.
Curne has yet to play a game for the Rebels.
A graduate of Marion High School in Crittenden County, he was heavily recruited by a number of top schools. Initially he signed with Louisiana State (LSU) and made five starts for the Tigers while battling leg injuries in 2025.
But rather than remaining in Baton Rouge to play for incoming head coach Lane Kiffin, he instead transferred to Kiffin’s former employer in Oxford, Mississippi.
Curne is listed at 6ft 5in and 330 pounds, and given his ability to play both tackle spots or at guard, he’s considered by many to be an NFL prospect.
Ole Miss did not hold a traditional spring game this year, but instead gave Rebels fans the chance to meet the current players at the Manning Center. That event took place Saturday in Oxford without Curne.
Coming off their first College Football Playoff appearance, head coach Pete Golding’s team will start its 2026 campaign against Louisville on September 6 in Nashville.
