Suleiman Ashifat, Head Coach of Kwara United, has admitted that the remaining three games of the season represent the “toughest” part of the 2025/2026 NPFL campaign, stressing that the Harmony Boys will not ease off until the final whistle, Completesports.com reports.
Kwara United are 12th in the standings with 45 points going into this Sunday’s Matchday 36 fixture away to Niger Tornadoes.

Ashifat, a former Jasper United, Onitsha centre-back, added that no team is yet safe in the league, with three games left to conclude the season. He stressed that his side must remain fully focused as they fight for every available point.
Kwara United Face Season-Defining Final Fixtures
“I played in the league, and I know how difficult the final games can be. This time around, it has become even tougher because the title is still open for the top five or six teams,” Ashifat began.
“The same way, none of the teams in the lower half of the table can relax until the final whistle.
“This is because the points separating them are so minimal that any slight slip could result in relegation.
“This tells you how tough this season has been, and it is kudos to the organisers, the NPFL, because it is bringing out the best in the clubs — a clear testimony that the NPFL has great potential and is rich in quality.”
We Must Fight For Every Point — Ashifat
“Yes, Kwara United could be said to be safe on the table, but that should not deceive us into believing that we are home and dry.

“We have to fight and contest for every single point in the remaining three games. Every point matters a lot now, and we are going to fight to the last drop of blood because we do not want any regrets, starting with this game against Niger Tornadoes,” Ashifat stated.

After the away game against Niger Tornadoes, Kwara United will host Enyimba in a crucial Matchday 37 fixture before rounding off the campaign with a tricky trip to Bayelsa United in Yenagoa.
