Wolves have been relegated from the Premier League after a disastrous 2025/26 season, Express and Star reports.
Following the 3-0 defeat to Leeds at the weekend, Wolves were given a stay of execution when Spurs conceded a late equaliser at home to Brighton.
But West Ham’s point at Crystal Palace on Monday evening has put the final nail in the coffin for Rob Edwards’ side, as they are mathematically relegated to the Championship with five games left to play.
It brings an end to Wolves’ top flight status after eight seasons, following the impressive squad that Nuno Espirito Santo built that got Wolves promoted and took them to consecutive seventh-placed finishes, the quarter-final of the Europa League and the semi-final of the FA Cup.

But Wolves have been battling with relegation in recent seasons after a number of mistakes in recruitment and from the very top of the club’s hierarchy.
Alongside the sackings of former head coaches Gary O’Neil and Vitor Pereira in the last two campaigns, chairman Jeff Shi also departed in December after overseeing a damaging summer and dreadful start to the campaign.
Edwards took over as head coach in November and after failing to get a new manager bounce, the club used the January transfer window to prepare for their inevitable reality of relegation.
