Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to play no further part in Nottingham Forest’s season, dealing a significant blow to their European and survival hopes.
The winger damaged his hamstring in the Europa League quarter-final win over Porto last week and missed the 4-1 victory against Burnley on Sunday, with boss Vitor Pereira indicating Hudson-Odoi would have a scan on Monday.
Yet Daily Mail Sport understands Forest are planning for the rest of the campaign without Hudson-Odoi.
Under the club’s four permanent managers, Hudson-Odoi has remained a regular and though he has had occasional injury problems, he has still made 43 appearances in all competitions, with six goals and four assists.

Once courted by Bayern Munich and even offered the No 10 shirt, Hudson-Odoi was signed by Forest for just £3million in summer 2023 and has proved an excellent buy, playing more than 100 times and claiming 19 goals and 10 assists.
He is still only 25 and signed a new three-year deal at the end of last summer.
Influential centre half Murillo also limped out of Sunday’s 4-1 win over Burnley with a hamstring problem, but that does not appear as bad.
Pereira said:’I don’t know. I spoke to him and he said he thinks it is not serious. I hope.’
