WWE icon Hulk Hogan’s Netflix documentary will feature an extra special cameo it has been revealed.
The wrestling legend, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died from a heart attack at the age of 71 in July of last year.
However, shortly before his death, Hogan filmed a documentary for streaming giants Netflix about his storied – and often controversial – life.
The late wrestler is said to have given more than 20 hours of interviews for the documentary, which had been in the works since 2024, up until his sudden death.
In the wake of his passing, the project, titled ‘Hulk Hogan: Real American,’ has now become his final interview.
And the documentary, which premieres on Netflix on April 22, included a surprise send-off from President Donald Trump.

Bryan Storkel, the director, recalled the surreal moment the Commander-in-Chief sat down for the project.
‘It was clear [Hogan] had a relationship with Trump . . . at one point I was like, “Yeah, we should get Trump.” And he was like, “Well, let me call him right now.” And he just dialed him,’ Storkel told the New York Post.
‘There were a couple times where we’re just on speakerphone with Trump, and I’m going, “What’s going on here? I’m sitting in a car with Hulk Hogan. He’s talking to the sitting president of the United States. What crazy world did I get myself into?”‘
Storkel even traveled to the White House last May, just a couple of months before Hogan’s death, when Trump gave 20 minutes of his time for the documentary.
‘The same day, he’s in the other room dealing with Putin. . . . He’s like, “Yeah, I gotta get back to Russia.”‘
During the film, Hogan reportedly plays a voicemail from the president, which thanked him for his speech endorsing Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where he famously ripped off his shirt to reveal a Trump-Vance tank top.
‘Just seeing his reaction to Trump’s voicemail as he’s listening to it, you can tell he’s proud of it. It also just shows how close their relationship was, whether you love that or hate that, it was there,’ Storkel said.
Trump led the tributes to Hogan after the tragic news of the wrestler’s death reached the White House last year.

‘We lost a great friend today, the “Hulkster,”’ Trump wrote on social media on Wednesday afternoon. ‘Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way – Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart.’
‘He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive,’ Trump wrote, praising his ‘absolutely electric speech’ from the Republican 2024 National Convention.
‘To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!’ he concluded.
Storkel also detailed Hogan’s unwavering love for his fans, as well as his ‘abnormal’ pain tolerance.
He revealed Hogan’s extreme fentanyl regimen – two 80 mg in his mouth, two 300-mg patches on his legs, and six 1,500-mg lollipops to eat – to handle the pain he endured following a 35-year career in the ring.
The trailer for the documentary dropped earlier this month, capturing his reflections in his final interview.
‘I can’t predict what the final act of the story is gonna be,’ Hulk says in a voiceover. ‘But the legend of Hulk Hogan will live forever.’
‘Some people hate me, but after I’m gone, I think people don’t know the truth,’ he said. ‘Who was this guy really? I really was here for a reason more than just wrestling.’
The docuseries, which promises to ‘uncover the man behind the legend,’ includes interviews with Hulk’s friends, peers and his ex-wife Linda Hogan.
