Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has reportedly reached an agreement to sign a new contract at the club in what is a major boost for the Blues’ under-fire ownership group.
The Ecuador international moved to Stamford Bridge from Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee of €116.6 million in 2023 and he has been one of Chelsea’s top performers since his arrival at the club.
Caicedo still has five years remaining on his current contract with Liam Rosenior’s side, but he recently switched agents and it has been widely reported that he has been keen to be rewarded for his recent form with improved contract terms.
The Telegraph’s Matt Law has now confirmed that an agreement has been reached between Caicedo and the Chelsea hierarchy. It’s claimed that an official announcement is currently being prepared and it’s reported that his new deal, which will come with a pay rise, will run until June 2033.
Caicedo recently joined the Base agency, who also represent Cole Palmer, and a contract extension has now been agreed after months of negotiations.
The 24-year-old has followed in Reece James’ footsteps, who also signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge earlier this year. It comes as a major boost for BlueCo, who have lost the support of the Chelsea fanbase after one win in the club’s last seven Premier League matches.

Caicedo’s decision to stay at Stamford Bridge will therefore provide some much-needed relief for the Chelsea hierarchy, and they will hope that others follow suit.
