Sports247 gathered that, though there had been a strong hint all along that Nwaneri will head back to Arsenal of England, from where he moved on loan to Marseille in January, he may opt for Dortmund instead.

The German outfit, which previously had Sunday Ogorchukwu Oliseh and Victor Nosa Ikpeba on their cards, currently have feather-haired Karim Adeyemi in their squad, with Nwaneri now touted to continue their Nigerian links.

This follows emerging information that BVB are in the hunt for a wide man at the end of the season and, although Nwaneri is yet to stamp his authority fullyy at ‘OM,’ Dortmund’s top brass believe the Nigerian-born England youth international is up to the task.

“Arsenal are prepared to sell the midfielder this summer, despite his potential and reputation. Watching developments are Borussia Dortmund, with transfer expert, Ekrem Konur reporting a summer move.

“Arsenal will seek £40-50m to sell the youngster at the end of this season, though Nwaneri’s contract with The Gunners runs until the summer of 2030,” a report by BBC Sport revealed.
