Morocco is being considered as a possible host of the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup, with the North African country reportedly in a strong position to organise the competition.
According to Moroccan publication KoraMaroc, the country is among the options being considered by FIFA to host the tournament, which is scheduled for 2029.
If Morocco is confirmed as the host, the country’s 2028/2029 league champions are expected to represent the nation at the competition.
The 2029 edition is also expected to feature a major change, with the number of participating teams set to increase from 32 to 48 for the first time in the tournament’s history.
The previous edition was held in the United States and featured 32 teams under the new competition format.
However, FIFA has yet to make an official announcement naming Morocco as the host of the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
