Jalen Hurts was caught cursing at his teammate on hot mics during the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Hurts had a tough day after losing running back Saquon Barkley as the injury-hit Eagles let their lead slip in the second half against the Rams.
The former Alabama quarterback managed just 93 passing yards and only 10 of those came in the second half as the Eagles fell to a 24-20 loss after leading 20-10 at halftime.
Even in the first half, frustrations were clear, with the FOX broadcast picking up one moment of frustration from Hurts towards teammate Dontayvion Wicks.
Hurts wanted his wide receiver to move off the line of scrimmage and go in motion in the first quarter, but it appeared he did not understand the play call.
Hot mics then caught Hurts shouting an expletive at Wicks, who finally understood what was being asked of him after his quarterback screamed: ‘Get off the f—ing ball! Come on!’

FOX broadcasters admitted it was a worrying sign, with Tom Brady uttering a simple ‘Uh oh’ before play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt added: ‘That’s not good.’
The previous week, Hurts’ furious reaction outside the blue medical tent was caught on camera after his backup, Andy Dalton, threw an interception in the end zone while Hurts was emerging from a concussion check.
‘I think practically, emotionally, and competitively, I was in the right place to go out there and compete,’ Hurts later said. ‘So it’s a situation that hopefully we can learn from. I don’t really draw those protocols up.’
This week, Tanner McKee was promoted to No.2 on the depth chart behind Hurts and ahead of veteran Dalton, but neither was needed despite Hurts’ struggles.
After the game, the 28-year-old signal caller told his team to simply ‘get up’ and insisted he has the ‘utmost confidence’ in the offense under new coordinator Sean Mannion.
‘This is a team that is building and finding its way, and it’s obviously a work in progress. I have the utmost confidence in this team. I have the utmost confidence in this group,’ Hurts said.
‘We just have to remain endured, be persistent, and keep committing to one another, keep committing to the work of being a better group together. So, we just have to continue to grow and go on our journey.’
The Eagles head to London this week to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. They will fly across the pond on Friday after spending the week in Philadelphia.
